Dear Chairwoman Burke,

I call upon the MTA to take the lead in improving our transportation system by supporting livable communities with compact mixed-use zoning convenient to transit, and safe routes for bicyclists and pedestrians.

In both the Call for Projects and the Long Range Transportation Plan, the MTA should greatly increase funding for land use solutions to our mounting transportation crisis, as well as higher funding levels for transit, bikes and pedestrians.

Please inform me as to how the Call for Projects and the Long Range Transportation Plan will include this public comment in their final revisions.

Thank you for your concern about our quality of life and transportation equity in L.A. County.
