Kathleen Gildred, Founding Director, has worked in government, social services, business, and non-profit organizations, as a writer, producer, and organizer. She is Vice Chair of the Regional Advisory Council of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), Program Coordinator for the Southern California Regional Council of Organizations, and Southern California Regional Coordinator for the Citizens Network on Sustainable Development. She has also served on the Sustainable Communities Working Group of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development.
Jim Stewart, Ph.D., Associate Director, has worked as a college professor, state human services planner, director of a human services agency for labor unions, and consultant to government, business, and non-profit agencies in conference organization, community development and environmental issues.
Virginia Palmer, Ph.D., Director for Open Space, is an experienced facilitator, environmentalist, media consultant, and writer. She has a BA in Journalism/Political Science; MA in Counseling & Guidance; and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development. She co-founded the Resources Unlimited Human Development Foundation, which has initiated programs in the areas of human development, spiritual awareness, environmental conservation and social change.
Kate Lutz, Recycling Coordinator, has been a marketing and public relations consultant for many organizations. She also created the Millennium Countdown Campaign as vehicle for modeling and promoting positive trends for the 21st century.
